I was postin' in my back thread, and it got me to thinkin' about some of the games I have that kick my ass, and that I've yet to beat. I get fustrated very, very easily, and there are times I've put a game back on the shelf for years until I decide to try them again.

Some of mine that I own, that I've yet to beat or complete:

Rainbow 6 Las Vegas PS3. This game was made by pure sadists. Just say "Theatre level"..*Shudders*.

Uncharted 1 PS3. I keep running out of ammo at the worst possible times. I actually became so angry, that I am truly suprised I didn't smash the controller to bits.

Assassin's creed PS3. I'm at the point where you have to fight the 13 Knights all at once. I cannot do it. I've let friends try it. They cannot do it. I know it's not the game, it's me. I just keep getting my timing off in blocking the attacks....

Battlestar Gallactica PS2. I read the reviews saying that this is indeed a brutally hard game, but figured since I pwn at flight sims, I could do this easy.

I was schooled hard.

This game was developed by Lord Satan himself. I dare anyone, and I mean ANYONE to beat this game without a cheat device. You would have to have supernatural speed, and the patience of Buddha not to lose your F'n mind at just how hard this game is. I honestly don't think that it can be beat.

Star Trek Encounters PS2. Okay, this game itself isn't hard. It's the controls, plain and simple. You need one button to go up, another to go down. Another to aim, and another to fire, and two more for direction, and movement forwards and backwards. You'd need another two arms just to use the freakin' controls...It's insane !! :frown:

Blazing Angels PS3. I pwned this game, until the very last levels. You can literally die just seconds after you spawn in. I MEAN IT ! In the level I'm at now, I spawn in, and have been shot down in 4 seconds. Yes, I counted....LOL !

GTA 3 and Vice City PS2. Now the games by themselve's aren't hard. Repetitive, but not hard. What's killin' me is the racing levels. I love racing games, but I suck at them.

I know that there has to be others out there besides myself, that have games that they just can't seem to beat. What are yours..?

I currently have two PS3s. It appears if I send a text from one, I can't see that text on the other machine. Additionally, if I open a text on one machine I can't see it on the other machine.

Normally, not a big deal. However, I am trying to follow up on recruting texts and it is starting to get a little chaotic with bits and parts of conversations on different machines.

Does anybody have a solution for this? (Besides the obvious one of only using one machine )
Thanks

Wonder how many times I will have to call Microsoft asking for a reactivation of their products. I am hoping going from one MSI product to another will lesson the problems.

Bright side is I didn't have to purchase a new processor or RAM and I can use what I have. Though I was tempted to buy more RAM..lol

"Rumours suggest this time the game will be played out in Africa but with an even larger world and with a completely updated Dunia engine," writes GAME in its brief summary of the title.
There's no other news, but the have been rumors about the sequel being in production, which this retail listing would appear to back up. Given the relative success of Far Cry 2, it seems a given that Far Cry 3 is a real thing that's happening, but we'll have to sit tight until the official announcement.

Do not take life for granted, but also be able to laugh Death in it's face.

Because in the end, none of us leave this world alive.

But be able to jest, and have a good laugh. Make your life have meaning.

In just some small way, make your point. Help make the world a better place, because you were here.

Make sure you are indeed "remembered", like these souls did.

Take care, and God Bless,

Moved from C4L Thread......

By ArickStall

I wanted to take a few moments regarding a topic that is not discussed too often but is another example of liberty being eaten away nonetheless. I'm referencing access to media, and more specifically, video games.

Earlier today, I read an article about Electronic Arts (EA) not toppling under political pressure to take the terrorist sect known as Taliban out of their most recent multi-console gaming release, Medal of Honor. For those of you familiar with the franchise, it is a modern-age reboot set to compete with the likes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

British Defense Secretary Liam Fox criticized the game, calling on retailers not to sell Medal Of Honor in order to "show their support for the armed forces."

Specifically, Fox said:

"At the hands of the Taliban, children have lost fathers and wives have lost husbands. It's shocking that someone would think it acceptable to recreate the acts of the Taliban against British soldiers," he said in a statement. "It's hard to believe any citizen of our country would wish to buy such a thoroughly un-British game. I would urge retailers to show their support for our armed forces and ban this tasteless product."

I agree with Electronic Arts to expand on their creative vision and keep this part in the video game to allow for more realistic depiction, among other things. While the choice is up to an individual retailer whether or not to sell a product, it should not be up to the state.

Which leads me to my next point.

This article actually reminded me of oral arguments that will be heard by the Supreme Court on November 2nd of this year in the case of Schwarzenegger v. EMA. This is also known as the "violent video game" case.

The Entertainment Consumers Association, known as ECA, will submit a friend of the court document (amicus brief) in response to the Supreme Court's decision to hear the argument.

What this means to consumers is that by the end of this year, or perhaps next year, the Supreme Court will listen to the arguments of both sides and make a decision to agree or disagree with the lower courts. What does that spell out for us? According to the Entertainment Consumers Association, it would mean the following:

Agreeing would mean that they believe that video games are, and should continue to be, First Amendment protected speech; just like books, movies and music. The court disagreeing would mean that they think video games should be treated differently. This could lead to new bills and laws curtailing video game access in states across the country.

It is not an understatement to say this is the most pivotal point in video gaming history, as the gaming age continues to expand creativity and realism into next generation consoles and gaming.

This is a call to action to gamers everywhere, or those who simply care about entertainment media and the selling of products associated with it. If this fails, a potential outcome could be that certain video games and associated products will be illegal to be sold in the United States, curtailing true creative license and entertainment value to consumers. The ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating system already exists in the United States and Canada, but this would take a more drastic, negative step.

I ask that if you have time, you please sign the ECA petition and have your name on the list when the brief is presented on November 2nd.

What are your thoughts?
