A couple years ago I took an entire weekend to watch all the episodes in order with my daughter. She had never really watched one before. We totally loaded up on pop, caramel popcorn, chips and dip, and pizza. It took all weekend starting with Friday. It was a good time and just one of those things we have as an experience together.

There will come a time when you will get to do the same with Wiggles.

...So live, that when thy summons comes to join
    The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

      Dude.....

That is SO cool !!! :D

How I wish I would've been able to have done something like that with my old man. That will be an experience she'll treasure forever.

For me, it was my Mother that was cool to me. It was her that showed me all the old Universal Monsters movies, Star Trek, The Godzilla series, Space Giants, Shared her love of Halloween with me, And it was her that convinced my Father to go to Star Wars with us, and so much more.

To my Father, it was all just stupid silly nonsense. To him, a boy shouldn't be sitting inside watching some silly ass black and white "Dr. Who" TV show, and reading Batman comic books, and so on. He most certainly didn't want his son to be an artist . He wanted his boy to be the all star Quarterback on the school football team. All this other crap was just sissy shit for panty waists. Trust me, I know. He made sure to tell me his opinion about what I liked.

But as I said before, after he actually saw "Star Wars", he finally understood what all this was about. One day he pulled me aside and told me, "I got something for you, wait here, it's a suprise".

He came in and handed me several packages. I opened them, and was astounded, and totally blown away. This man...This big (and yes he was big, not fat, I mean big bad ass Korean War vet, had went out all on his own, and bought me two of the huge Star Wars comic books, the Star Wars paperback book, and the Star Wars two record soundtrack set, and the two model kits of C3PO and Artoo. :D And to this very day, I still have those records. It was one of the very few times he was actually nice to me, because we finally had something in common.

That it wasn't sissy crap, it had guys in armor with blaster guns, Dudes fighting with swords, guys fighting to rescue the Princess, and epic spaceship dofights with lasers blasting all over the place. Now this, he could relate to.
This wasn't girly crap, this was pretty damned manly. He was just a man raised in a different time, with different standards.

I'm so very glad that you had this experience with your daughter, that must've been so special and cool to do together. But I gotta ask, did she like the movies ?. You didn't say. (The "prequels not withstanding. If she didn't like the PT, now that even I can understand.)

And yes, like you said, I'm so looking forward to doing the same with DSA Wiggles.

Wiggles scared the shit outta Mommy and Daddy today. I guess he had an air bubble after eating, so we put him in his crib, and he was fussing because he didn't get enough snuggle time after eating. Or so we thought.

I went to check on him, and he started to throw up, and I guess when that happened, he tried to take a breath to cry, and sucked that crap into his 'lil lungs. So there is our little baby, bright red, his eyes literally bugging out, puking, and we realize to our horror, My God, he's not breathing !

He has what best as I can describe as foam pouring out of his 'lil mouth, and he's gasping and gurgling; trying to breath for his very life !. Mommy Daz quickly put him on his stomach, and rushed him to the sink, while smacking his back to get him to breathe. He finally got all that crap out of his lungs, and started to scream in pain and fear. He's just two months old, he has no idea what the Hell just happened, all he knew was he couldn't breathe. It just took a minute or so for his 'lil body to figure out what to do to make him breathe. And I swear that minute or so took a few years off of Mommy and Daddy's life !.

But he finally was able to calm down and start breathing normally. But he's okay.

Well, Wiggles has had his shots, and has been officially baptized in a wonderful ceremony by our Reverend, and Mommy Daz has been officially welcomed into the Methodist faith, And I went through the ceremony of re-affirmation.

Our Reverend did a fantastic job, and the ceremonies were wonderful !. It felt so nice to be welcomed back after all these years. And the Reverend proudly held up Wiggles for everyone to see. We recieved a wonderful certificate, and one of the ladies here knitted him an amazing blanket by hand, as a gift.

To get to see my son get baptized, see my wonderful wife join the faith, and for myself to get to re-join the Church, it was just such a kind and touching moment, and one I will treasure for the rest of my life. :)

ND, we want to personally thank you for your gifts for Wiggles and Daz. Daz had a total "Squee" moment when she opened the package you sent to us ! :D She absolutely adores her pink DSA T-Shirt, and Wiggle's onesie !. She had one of our friends come down and take some very nice professional photos done (With a $1,600 dollar camera !) with all three of us wearing our DSA shirts, which one of them is proudly on her Facebook profile picture.. :D

Words cannot describe just how much we can't wait to re-join all you wonderful members here once again on the "Battlefront". And hopefully soon we'll have a PS4, and we can re-join you guys too, we miss Ya'll so much also !!!.

If there are any guests here reading this, I truly hope you officially join this Clan. You have no idea on what you're missing out on.

I wish it said "Sith", but oh well.....:

He's one year old now, wearing his "Barf Vader" onesie:

We had a whole Star Wars themed party for him, and this kid made out like a bandit !. He even had two Star Wars cakes, one just for him, and another for everyone else. His entire nursery is completely decked out with Star Wars curtains, toys, stuffed animals, you name it. He even has his own Stormy suit, so he can dress up like Daddy !. :D

He got a special "Build-a-Bear" special edition Darth Vader bear from us that plays the Imperial march, that we let him pick out. They had two. One that played the Star Wars theme, and one that played the Imperial march. He was pretty much "meh" on the Star Wars theme, but when we showed him the Imperial March one, he jumped up and down and started squealing, so we knew which one to get for him. :D

And we had a life size Darth Vader cut out there, so everyone could get their picture with him and Lord Vader. His party was a big hit, and he loved it so much !. :)

We've been blessed so much with our miracle baby !. He's just sooo very sweet, kind, and gentle.

We had quite a scare recently, as the baby needed his next round of vaccination shots, and after he got really, really sick. He stopped talking, laughing, waving, clapping, or anything. He'd just sit there all day sitting down and staring at the ground, looking very sad. He wouldn't even answer to his name. He was showing almost all the signs of autism. So we took him to the doctor, and they had two baby specialists from the state of Tennesse to come look and evaluate him.

But after several months, it seems we got lucky and dodged the bullet. We guess it just took some time to get all the heavy metals from the shots to work their way out of his little system. He's walking now, making tons of sounds, and laughing and squealing with happiness. We were overjoyed to get our delightful happy baby boy back. They said the shots don't cause autism per se, but I will tell them to their direct faces that's utter lies and bullshit. He was completely fine and happy the day before those shots. Two days after, it seemed like something had just taken all the joy out of living from him. We're still going to take him to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville to get him checked out again to be sure. I don't think it's necessary, but Daz thinks so. So that's what we've been dealing with the last few months.

I know this is like a month late, but I'm very glad that he's okay now. I'm not sure how many vaccines they gave him all at once, but it really shouldn't have affected him like that. I know it sucked major ass when I was preparing to come to America and they had to give me 10 shots of vaccines per week (and they did it like 3 shots each day too, with one rest day in between) for 2 weeks. I had to basically sit in bed for those two weeks because it made me ill.
