    For our gamers.....

Yeah buddy, we're hardcore when it comes to gaming.

Please post your epic gaming stuff here.

For myself, I hate that most open world games like the ones Bethesda makes, the NPC's are either your buddies, or go all out aggro on you. There's almost no neutrality.

I hate that. It's certainly one of my many pet peeves, LOL !. ;)

I think Rockstar did a much better system in Red Dead and GTA, in regards to NPC's.

In Skyrim/Fallout, someone or a group sees you, and they almost instantly aggro, and attack you. It seems a shame to me that they deny you the chance to become a leader/friend of the Super mutants or whatever. To me, that would just make games a bit deeper. I really liked that you could have relationships in Dragon Age. I haven't played them yet, but I've also heard the same about Mass Effect.

I guess that also what I don't like about Destiny. The Hive/Cabal/Fallen/Vex just outright HATE you, without really explaining why in game. In Destiny, if the Cabal and Vex are fighting, if they see you, they instantly stop fighting each other, and all focus on killing you.

I think Halo did this much better. You over time even earn a begrudging reputation with the Covenant, and they even fight with you a few times, to battle a common foe.

I would like to see a time when games become deeper than "point here, shoot this". Games are entertainment. And I think that games should have more story telling, to get you more personally involved. The first "Game of Thrones" game did this wonderfully, even though it had a shitty combat system.

You tell me; and I wrong or right ?

Good thread Deslock. I can see some potential here.

I want you guys to check this out. Its called GT Racing 2. You can get it for free on the Iphones and android. It is a racing simulator much like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo. There are clan features on here that would allow for a joint operation between ALL DSA members 😀

From PS4 to XBONE, the Dsa can unite on a cool, fun, and free game that looks and plays extremely well. With my Sony Xperia smartphone, connecting my Dualshock 4 controller to the device with a mount and bluetooth brings a true mobile console gaming experience.

I will be posting gameplay to my YT channel as a Lets Play Series.

The featured car in the first episode will be the BMW M2

KNOCKOUT!! GT Racing 2: BMW M2:

There are some games that do a good job without telling much story, The Mario games do well at that. The game play is usually awesome, Most Nintendo games are like that with the exception of Metroid, Zelda, Fire Emblem, etc.

Story telling however can be the game's saving grace if they place you in the world without much context(See DayZ, H1Z1 or any sandbox type game). Do you know why I got so sick of games like those? Same shit, build this thing get to a point, And then you reach a point where you don't want to build anymore , especially if you've established a huge base in that world and they continuously remake their world :/.(Not the DSA server, A friend's server lol).

For the games with good story telling, You may need to look far and wide with the niche games that the audience tends to ignore or get overlooked.

I'm certain you've played Valkyria Chronicles, Right Deslock? I feel that you've played that game before. Games like those tend to make you feel involved and aren't like the typical 'AAA' games today, and I still hope whoever coined that term needs to be punched in the face. Video games are video games, I Don't want to put a label on how much money was put into a game by naming it a 'AAA' game, Because in the end it's still a damn video game to me.
Well maybe AAA could be used to say how much the publisher intends to steal from you this year(i.e Battlefield, Call of Duty, and sadly enough maybe even Battlefront). with 'Season' passes. Yea well played game industry :P.
So who is going to buy Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield Hardline ,etc this year? Good luck with that $129 with Battlefield Hardline, $60 for the game and $40 for the premium. Just lovely lol.

(Nintendo did a better job with season passes despite being the console that people seem to ignore)

With that said, I like a game that respects me enough to make me emphasize with the characters of the story(Depending on the game).

I absolutely love Jim Sterling, as a consumer rights advocate, we both have a lot in common. He might be abrasive at times, but he's not wrong.

But sadly, a lot of things he says fall on deaf ears, in the gaming world today. Jim Sterling reminds me an awful lot like Ron Paul. What he says needs to be listened to, but no one wants to hear what he's saying. Which indeed is a total damn shame. Because what they're both saying is true, and very, very important.

Since I've tired of Destiny, I've been playing Bioshock infinite on the PS3.

It's a wonderful game, and I really like it. But truth be told, I liked the first two Bioshocks more. I found the first two Bioshocks much more scary and atmospheric. Maybe because the first two were underwater, and therefore very much darker. And I like the neon art style more than Infinite.

In the first two Bioshocks, I was tense, wondering what the Hell was going to hit me next, when I least expected it. I find Infinite no where near as much, more as a "goodie" hunt, compared to the first two. When I put in the first one, I was captivated, and played it all night long until I finished it the next morning non stop. Like Halo, I just HAD to see what was going to happen next, sleep be damned. Like Game of Thrones, I was just like "GIVE ME MORE STORY !!!".

With Infinite, meh, not so much. But don't get me wrong, it's still a great game, and I really do like it. But in the first two, I felt much more immersed in the game world, then in this latest game. In the first two I found myself truly scared at times. They had much more "Oh Shit !" moments. In Infinite, I'm running around thinking "I hope I didn't miss a chest or goodies", like I am in "Dishonored", Gotta hunt those goodies down !.

If you've played these games, I'd like to hear your opinions on them.

Yes 'Mui, I own Valkyria Chronicles, and it's a fantastic tactical game, and I love it. The art style is unique with it's watercolor palette. Sadly, hardly anyone now makes games that make you really think about what you're doing. Valkyria Chronicles makes you think about consequences. You pair two NPC's that hate each other, or one likes the forest, and another the desert, you're going to have problems. Notice that even though it was a fantastic game, It didn't get a sequel.

Gamers are a varied bunch. Some like tactical, like Valkyria Chronicles, SoCom, Stronghold:Crusader, and the like, and there are most that just like "point and shoot". And there's nothing wrong with that.

There are times when I want a deep and thoughtful game, where with every move you make, makes a difference. And there are times when I just want to jump online, have a few beers, and shoot people I don't know in the face.

Being a "gamer" is such a layered label now, more than ever. Some like deep tactical games, most like just "run and gun" now. For me, it's like music, "What am I in the mood for now?"

There are times when I want a deep psychological thriller like Deadspace, and other times when I just want to have fun on Angry Birds, or Minecraft.

But I do have to agree with you on the whole "AAA" nonsense. Back in the day, games on the PS3 and X-Box 360, they gave you whole games that you loved and enjoyed, and DLC was just designed to give you more of what you already liked, and wanted. And I didn't have one little bitty problem with that. I bought the DLC's for the original Dragon's age with a smile on my face.

Now, with games broken up on purpose to sell you more DLC, and "Season passes" like that Sterling video, yeah, he does indeed have a very good point.

There is this free game for playstation plus right now that Is the most challenging and fun experience that I have had in a long time.

Olliwood 2, its a side scrolling skateboard arcade game with silky smooth gameplay. It is easy to pick up, but crazy hard to master.

I have to say, I never was a big fan of ANY of the indygames that PS+ had to offer thus far. With the exception of outlast, but im referring to more arcade style games.

Olliwood has sold me on Indy games, that game alone is worth all of my patience with my PS+ subscription. This month, we even get KILLZONE MERCENARIES for free, which is a ps vita game that will be playable on the PS4. I am really excited about that.

Now Olliwood, has an insanely fun, but super tough final group of levels that test both Mind and reactive skill. They are in a setting called "TITAN SKY," and it is as epic as it sounds.

These are some of the pro tier moves that you can pull off once you have begun mastering the controls.

Olliwood 2: INSANE FINAL LEVEL MONTAGE:

It is EXTREMELY hard to do those moves, but very satisfying when you can pull it off. That is probably my favorite spot in the entire game, but there are alot of other cool locations too.

For the hardest of hardcore gamers. Remember the AOL days back when internet was young? This mobile pool game definitely has that nostalgia feel.
