User Controlled Map

As I sit at work, I am wondering "wouldn't it be cool if our website had a map to which each member could add their location"? Then as we scroll over each map marker we can see who lives where.

I think so. What do you think?

Better yet, if you think you would know how to build such a map, that would be even better. Post your thoughts.

I searched for prebuilt application to which we could just link to from the site. I was unsuccesful. However, I am not the best at searching for information on the web. All I came up with was an article how to use google maps and PHP to build one. But it was ALL greek to me.

Actually we do have something like that. Crono came up with it and some of us have the program where you can up load the map and draw all over it. I will see where we can download it from.
