That had to be Southern baptist churches.

As a Methodist, and in the southern Catholic religion, such outbursts would've been considered HIGHLY disrespectful, and NEVER allowed.

Religion to us is a quiet, peaceful thing.

Dancing around like a wild man would never be accepted by us.

We love the Lord Our God, but in a quiet, respectful way.

In making an appeal to a toleration of diversity of theological opinion, John Wesley said, "Though we may not think alike, may we not all love alike?" The phrase "In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity" has also become a maxim among Methodists, who have always maintained a great diversity of opinion on many matters within the Church.

Or any baptist church, as well as some Born Again christian ones I think I saw mixed in.
Now I'm not knocking anyone's religion, or way they want to pray or worship. But if you have never seen a born again church, and see people speaking in tongues, it's very... interesting to say the least. Even more so when you have no idea it's about to happen because you got dragged there by your friend to see his girlfriend for some odd reason before heading to the bars... cocaine is a hell of a drug.

In some churches they believe that speaking in tongues is the lord trying to communicate through you. So they break into these long rants or outbursts speaking in gibberish. Literally gibberish, it is no language, no words, just like a baby trying to speak.

They might have the right idea though. Being raised Catholic, and going though the boring, stand, sit, kneel, sit, kneel, sit, stand routine. It might have been a good break from the normal. The only excitement you get in Catholic church is when you get shake hands and say "peace be with you".
                  "POWER!!! UNLIMITED POOWWWEEEER!!!!!!

"Tell me what you regard as your greatest strength, so I will know how best to undermine you; tell me of your greatest fear, so I will know which I must force you to face; tell me what you cherish most, so I will know what to take from you; and tell me what you crave, so that I might deny you."
                  ?Darth Plagueis

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me."

Adding to what Ratix said, have any of you seen the people dancing around with poisonous snaked at church? It's pretty crazy watching them dance around having snakes draped all over them, the real funny thing is they hardly ever get bitten.

Wow thanks for throwing Baptists under the fucking bus. So much for religous tolerance. I think I lost some respect for a few around here.

I hope you didn't take the youtube vid negatively. I just like drum and bass and the way they're moving looks exactly like the way they do at a drum and bass gig. Seemed to fit pretty good with the footage. No disrespect intended. As Ratix said, they probably have the right idea compared to the catholic kneel, sit and stand thing I was raised with.

I too was raised Catholic but would go to baptist church sometimes.......I personally do not like organized religion but I don't disrespect those who go, believe and find peace through it. We all feel in some way that we are united thru something greater than ourselves. So I have nothing but respect for those who enjoy their religion, just don't judge me by your religious standard.

I pretty much take a little bit from all religions and follow a positive path.

I really like the Drum and Bass video it really does look like when you go to the club. Nice add.

I really like how they practice. It is a spirit that moves you and just like the music it makes you feel like you are connected to something so great that you have to bust a move.

If they started playing Slayer or Drum and Bass at Church, and it looked like those videos, I would definitely be going back.
