Okay, *Phew* a new progress report:
I built up the pirate cove with styrofoam, blocked and glued it down, and then coated it with "Great stuff" spray insulation. Then I carved it down to the proper shape, and then coated the entire island with two cans of flexible vinyl spackle, and smoothed it all out. All I have to do now is glue down the sand and rocks, paint it up; do the grass and trees, and do the water. It sounds very complicated, but in all truth, the hardest part is done. :)
Three of the houses are completely done. The barn was done, but one of the doors broke, and I have to make a new hinge. Very easy fix. :D
I have all the ships, except one. I almost had RaTix's boat done, but the final coat of paint had a reaction with the primer, and it wrinkled up. So I'm going to have to strip it and do a complete re-paint, which really isn't that hard, I just have to soak it in some 409/fantastic overnite, scrub it off, and re-paint it using a different primer.
The walls of the huge spaceport are done. All I have to do now is glue them down, prime them gray, and weather them. I still have to detail the floor, but that's an afternoon. Easy. The weathering will be the hardest part, but that should only take a few days, mainly because I have to wait for the different paints to completely dry, before adding a new coat.
The restaurant is done. :D
I have hundreds ( No joke, I'm serious. ) of action figures, so that's done. And a lot of vehicles. A lot of vehicles. I just wish I had a few more Jets, but that's just out of my budget right now.
The castle is built and done, But I still have to do the groundwork and the moat. That should be done by summer. Maybe earlier, depending on my finances.
The factory is built and completely done.
Almost all the furniture and props are 99% done.
The DSA barracks is 99% done. All I have left to do is to make a scale door for the building. ( Even though this was probably the easiest set to make, I think it's my favorite at this point. ) I'm hoping to have pictures of it posted by this weekend; to start this all off, weather and time permitting.
I started on the city street today. I have the buildings 99% done. I wanted Yentis to do some scale graffiti, but he can't do it, so I did find a few graffiti fonts, so that might work. I could make them, and print them out on decal paper, and put them on that way. These buildings are soo F'N awesome !!!, and I have them already weathered and ready to go, except for the graffiti. I even have all the scale street signs. I just wish I had a good scale fire hydrant and mailbox, but I'm working on it. I might have to make them by hand, but I'm okay with that.
About the only thing that has thrown me off, was that I almost had RaTix's mansion done, when Daz bought me that utterly beautiful four story house. It's utterly amazing, but sadly molded almost all in F'n pink. So I'm just going to finish the first one (which is almost done), and then start masking the new one for paint. My God, I've learned to HATE the damn color pink.
So if Ya'll wonder why you've not seen me on Destiny all this month, this is why.
This has been such a great and fun series of projects for me, and I've loved every minute working on them. Even my Mother came over and saw me working on them, and smiled when she saw everything I've been working on, when I showed all of them of to her. Right now I think the only person that wants to kill me is Daz, as all of this is slowly taking over the house, room by room, since these all are so big.
But once you all see everything I've built, you'll understand just why all of this has taken me so long. I'm a perfectionist, and this level of detail I'm going for just takes time, and I hate the wait just as much as you all do.
But when you all see just exactly what I've built, the DSA site will explode.

Okay. An update.
One of the things that has been kicking my ass is trying to figure out all the special effects I want to add. I tried one free program, and it was difficult as Hell. There is no way in Hell you could become really good at it without taking classes. It was a masterpiece, but far too complicated, at least for my dumb ass.
Then I downloaded Paint.net. Another great program, but still kinda complicated for me. Not as much as the first one, but almost right up there.
Recently Daz bought me Photo Explosion Deluxe, version 5. It says it has hundreds of special effects, and seems perfect for what I want to do, but the reviews for it are square one. 24 people HATE it and give it a one star review, and 24 people LOVE it, and give it a 5 star review. So I'm scared to use it.
All I know is I've spent over two years building up all these wonderful stories for you all, and God only knows how much money spent on toys.
What I want to know, is should I risk it ?. I want to give these wonderful stories for you. But I don't want to crash and burn my computer. It's already happened twice already. Yentis tried to download Corel and Adobe from a certain "bay", and the viruses attacked me instantally, and caused a certain crash. I lost damn near everything. I thank God I had the foresight to back everything up.
Do any of you guys have any experience with this program ?.

A bit of a late reply, But BOSS is experienced in using photo manipulation programs. I don't know which ones he uses though so you may have to ask him since I am not sure if he has seen this thread lately.
Day 9xx: Still no sign of Toy theater, Rations are low and I am seeing things thanks to those mushrooms I ate in the forest a few minutes ago.

Notes: We have anxiously waited for the promised release of said threads but doubt has set in due to lack of content. The men are getting impatient and are losing hope as well as moral. This thread is the equivalent of finding THE perfect girl out there for you, and then finding out she has a chastity belt on when you're about to have sex, so much joy and hope, followed by disappointment and despair .

I've installed the new program, and I really like it a lot. I can do instant fire effects, blur, and tons more, and lots of premade backgrounds so I won't have to layer so much as before; and best of all, it's extremely easy to use. If it had istant word ballons, I'd have to say it's perfect for what I'm looking for.
So, I'm using three different programs to get all the special effects I want, but it's worth it. I have the next three days off, and I won't have to babysit Wiggles. Yay !.
So I'm going to try and set up a preview thread in the neext few days.
Working two jobs and having to watch Wiggles, I just had to put this on the backburner for a bit. But I only have the one job now, as working two was just killing me. And the job I have now, I get off work anytime from 11pm. until 2am. in the morning, and I'm exausted from cooking all day.

I just checked my account, and Photobucket has given me a HUGE increase of space, that will help out a lot, as I don't have to worry about eating up RaTix's. :D

This is going to be my official DSA toy theater thread:
Using copyrighted content in parody:
Parodies are comedic imitations of someone else's work, usually paying respect to them. According to law.com parody is "the humorous use of an existing song, play, or writing which changes the words to give farcical and ironic meaning." Law.com says that court decisions have favored parodies and that "there is a free speech issue involved in these decisions since parodies traditionally have social and political significance."
Parody has long been a viable part of entertainment. It allows for comment, criticism, and humor of an existing work. Comedy sketches poking fun at an existing TV show or a popular song have proved to be important forms of art. Special laws have been upheld to allow artists to freely perform parody to it’s fullest to avoid copyright issues.
For a further examination of the misunderstood purposes of copyright law, please visit the excellent article by Lydia Pallas Loren: 'The Purpose of Copyright'
When producing parodies it is acceptable under US law to use bits of the original creations to enhance the comedic nature of the new creation. This includes music and other identifying elements. It does not violate copyright law, as long as it doesn't damage or harm the reputation of the original or try to pose as the original.
Fair use doctrine:
Under the "fair use doctrine" it is acceptable according to the US Supreme Court of 1994 in Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. In this case the court states "Parody, like other comment and criticism, may claim fair use."
An artist has full rights to use reasonable care in producing parody. If clips of the original are used for any other purpose than parody of the show being jested, then it becomes illegal. Under common law, the fair use doctrine, and the decisions of the Supreme Court, use of copyrighted material in parody is necessary, acceptable, and legal.
Producers or creators of parodies of copyrighted workd have been sued for infringement by the targets of their ridicule, even though such use may be protected as fair use. These fair use cases distinguish between parodies, which use a work in order to poke fun at or comment on the work itself and satire, which use a work to poke fun at or comment on something else. Courts have been more willing to grant fair use protections to parodies.
My DSA Toy Projects are done for jest and parody only, with only the HIGHEST respect for the original creators of said prior creative work and/or ideas. They're just jokes, and only meant to be so. If I make fun of anything, it's because I love it, and just want to have some fun. And I sincerly hope that any content created here brings the original creators prosperity in said creations, films, artwork, Etc; or any other intellectual property. If anyone has any problems whatsoever with my Toy creations, please feel beyond free to contact me. I firmly promise I'm only joking, and truly wish NO harm to anyone, or their I.P. .
Legal stuff over:
I would like to ask that if any member or visitor here that has any thoughts, comments, or ideas for future work, please place them in the comments section of the "DSA Toy Theater" thread. Any comments posted here will either be removed, deleted, or moved to the thread posted above. Please know that I'm not being mean or hateful, I just want to keep this thread "clean" for everyone's viewing pleasure of the content being produced. I truly love you DSA guys and girls, and I truly thank the vistors to this site for coming here. If it wasn't for RaTix, none of us would even be here in the first place. Don't blame him for the stupid crap I make, it's not his fault. ;)
I personally want to thank Clanmate DSA Boss for his awesome DSA Toy Theater logo created just for these toy projects. This is going to take a few weeks to get up and running. It's taken me many years of hard work and money out of my own pocket to make, and I hope you enjoy them just as much as I've enjoyed making them for you. They're coming soon. Thank you all, and God bless.....Last edited by Deslock; 12-26-2015, 12:32 AM.
