    Babies

Hey all dsa out there I was just hoping some of you guys that might have kids would suggest any kind of baby beds. My wife and I have been trying for about nine years to have kids and this year we are being blessed with twin boys. I've read some reviews on baby beds and checked a few out I don't want something that is too expensive.

Been checking some out that walmart sells and just needed to know if anybody has any good or bad reviews on any. I trust you guys way more than some random on a review so any information would be helpful.

Brother, my daughter is 18. So it has been awhile since I looked at baby beds. But the only thing you need is #1 safety. The simplier the better. In my opinion some have gone over the top with moving parts that claim have more features and functions. Screw all that! The less moving parts, the better.

...So live, that when thy summons comes to join
      The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

Congrats Jake...I have twin 13 year old boys. A crib is a crib....so I don't think you will go wrong with a selection. You might just need one at first....our twins slept in the same crib for the first couple of months. My best advice for you is to get them on a consistent sleeping and feeding plan ASAP!!!! They aren't china dolls...let them cry, it's normal. And if you decide to have another kid, the experience with twins will make a single baby a breeze!!!

@ Shocker...identical twin?? How did you get your voice so low. 😃

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. Jake,

Safety is the key. Second will be ease of picking up an putting them down. Big diff on your back and tha ability to transfer a sleeping baby without waking them.

Nd has it right keep it simple. And with twins I would recommend the same thing keep them together. It will keep their bond strong. And make it easier on them since they were grown together it will make the more comfortable and easier for them to sleep.

Congrats! Also, if you want to go that far, they make modular cribs nowadays that can be transitioned into toddler beds later on.

Make sure you google the model. I was amazed at how many recalls occur with cribs.

I definitely recommend a bassinet for the first few months. They're pretty cheap and you can . keep the babies nearby. We wanted the bassinet to keep the babies near her when they needed to feed.

Jim is usually wacky, but I second his suggestions. And Zabka's comment was brilliant. Really nice to have a crib that adjusts. We have one that has 3-4 crib levels and transitions into a toddler bed on the lowest setting. It's gone through 4 kids now.

I've heard good things about the cribs that later convert to beds. On a side note my son spent most of his daytime in a bouncer. He LOVED it. Afterwards we received the automatic rocking one and it was great for putting him to sleep.
