Yeah. Sometimes on Bog, I die on purpose and then call in my airstrike so I can get another one with the kills I get.

That may be a difference between the 360 and PS3 versions.

I've unlocked the elite challenge where you can call in up to 3 airstrikes, and 2 choppers in one match without dying. Which would explain alot about what Gino is talking about then.

On the PS3 version you do have to die before you can get more ammo for your weapon, and claymores. But there are several times when I've called in more than one UAV, airstrikes, and helo's, if you stay alive.

was never really a fan of the whole sniping thing.If anything it made me sick in socom when I would try to get a fix on the enemy position and have somebody snipe me because I couldn't spot them on time because they were to well hidden for me.
Snipers...pif....its called running in with your teammates and giving them cover,not sitting back and getting kills you know....and thats what annoys me about some people that play sniper in video games.All that fire from a place where they can't lose.Hell go out there and fight for your team,not for yourself .
There was this one dude we faced on friday and all he did was stay back and snipe.Its nobodies fault that some people can't utlize proper teamwork.We should blame that fact that people are to greedy for everything even in a video game.Even though its a video game,people push for glory and attention when really,what do we play a video game for?For fun or for the attention?
I play for fun and because the fact I love playing with my friends.I don't care what the public thinks about me because quite frankly i'm here to kick some butt and have fun hands down.

Mui I agree with you on the most part, but certain maps I do like snipers, because I know they are helping defend an objective. Especially for me who hates facing and using a sniper class. Like overgrown. If we have "A" and "C" a well placed sniper can help guard both. If we only have one objective then we need that sniper to turn into a grunt. However, I don't mind maybe one sniper, because he can counter the other snipers. But when we play Domination and only have one base and we got 4 or 5 guys sniping, then thats why we can't get a base and needs to be changed.

Crossfire I think gets to be the worst map for sniping. That's the map I always go out and kill snipers.

Yeah. I'm always the guy that puts UAV Jammer on and sneaks around the right side of the map to A to stab or C4 those damn snipers.
Even if it's Domination and we have B and C, they annoy me. They must perish.

Its just a map that sniping is unnecessary and pretty much useless. There's no strategic advantage. Everyone pretty much uses the side buildings anyway. You get random people in the middle but just a waste of time.

It is unnecessary, but the other team will always do it.
So you have 1 of 2 choices.
Either sneak around the right buildings and stab them or use smoke to cross the street from B to C.

You forgot choice 3 and 4. Guard "B" or "C" and avoid those idiots.

But choice 4, "Guard C" is basically the same as choice 2, "Use smoke to cross the street from B to C."

If you die at C and you need to get back,
you're going to get sniped crossing the street if you don't have smoke
or if you don't have someone completing choice 1 which is: kill the snipers.

Not necessarily. When I cross the street by "C" I hardly get sniped trying to get to "A". I do a couple of "halo" jumps which throw off their timing.

Well I get sniped all the time so I'll just keep doing what works for me. :)
