Heh, hard to believe my first PC didn't even have a hard drive, a Tandy 1000.

Just take a look at this beast of a gaming rig. :



And now mind you, with NO hard drive, and you had to keep replacing the memory chips if you wanted to upgrade, this state of the art machine in 1987 was $1000.00, and that's not adding the color monitor and awesome dot matrix printer.

If you bought games for these machines waaay back in the day, since they didn't have hard drives, each game (like King's Quest (which I loved.) ) they would come with at least 8-10 3.5 disks, that you had to swap out whilst playing. *Whew*. And I built up my first PC from the ground up in the early 90's when the net had a blisteringly fast 14.44 modems. Wanna surf da net, hope ya brought a book to read while you wait for that bulletin board site to load up.. LOL !!
