    Bah, I must be tired. Went to rename the other thread and edit the post, somehow deleted the thread instead. Luckily I still had the guide saved to repost.

        I followed your steps Ratix and it looks like it was a Trojan.Dropper...Malwarebytes removed the virus and I just logged in to normal mode and I no longer see the pop-up or warning. This makes me feel relieved. I'm doing a quick scan just in case though.
