I know you are getting pounded with advice but have you tried updating the frame-ware on the router yet? I saw you sad you have had it for like two years maybe an update might help. We will make sure you check everything before you have to buy a new one.

I appreciate all the help guys. I learned a lot from this thread.
Monday at practice I had no problems(excluding getting TK'd many times...lol). The only thing I changed was the Ethernet cable connecting the modem to the router since it had some kinks in it. I'd feel dumb if that was the underlying problem this whole time. Dumb fix or not I hope the problem doesn't resurface again.
