So all day today, Daz, myself, and Yentis spent the afternoon getting everything set up for our haunt for tomorrow, but we found out we needed some more battery packs, some more lights, and black duct tape.

When we got back home, we noticed two big boxes on my front door addressed to me personally. And I was like Huh...????. But we were bringing in all our supplies right at the time, so Yentis and myself carried the boxes up to my studio for the time being. After we got our lights up and working, and most of the front porch set, and we were dog tired, Yentis and myself went upstairs to open the boxes I'd received, and I was just stunned.

A site member here who I'll not name out of respect for their privacy, gave me over 121 action figures, fourteen vehicles, and three set pieces. Some of which are very rare, for my toy projects for you all. I did not ask for this, nor was it expected. It probably took me over an hour to unbox and separate them all. It was a very wonderful and special surprise. :D These boxes contained several hundreds of dollars worth of toys.

To this person I send my true thanks, and blessings. I'm still in shock and awe of this gift. God bless you, and I thank you for your kindness. And your gift means that I'll be able to share your gifts with everyone here.

Once again, I thank you so very much. This means a lot to both Daz and myself, and I cannot wait to share them with everyone else here.

God bless you and yours, and God bless the DSA !.

    Des.

I know it's been a long wait. It certainly hasn't been easy for me either. Over all this time I've had to piece things together bit by bit, and buy everything piece by piece, and most times, build it, trim it, and then paint it. Over three sets worth. On what money I have left over on my part time paycheck. I know many here have offered to send me Paypal money, but to be honest, I haven't even had the extra money to even open a checking account, so folks could send me money. God's honest truth.

And with all the money I've spent over these two years, I could've saved that and bought a PS4 or a X-box one, maybe even both. And as much as I love playing with you guys online, I also know that in truth I'm just not that good of an online player, and that this gift to you all would mean more to everyone here, than having me play online with you, and suck at it. This project will mean much more to everyone here, and our guests.

I started this thread as a joke, and once I saw how much everyone liked it, I over committed myself, and that was my fault. And for that I apologize to everyone here. But once I committed myself to this, and the fact that I'm a perfectionist in my art, I wasn't going to post anything until I had everything perfect, and up to my personal standards.

Where I failed was not taking my financial situation into account at the time. But please put yourself in my place. Would you rather give your friends a basic pan baked cake as a gift, or a hand crafted beautiful wedding cake ?.

I have asked two local talented graphic computer artists to help me with this, and shown them what all I have, but they both blew me off. So not only have I had to build all this myself, but also had to try to learn new programs to make this be the very best I could give you all, on my own time, with a very limited budget.

I know Boss offered to help, but I didn't want my project, to become his burden.
This is not his obligation, but mine. I took this all on for myself, and I'm beyond proud to do so. Like making a movie, production takes time. But when you all see it, you'll see just why it took this long, and it will blow you all away, and our guests.

Yes, it's been two years. But when you see it, you'll understand. You've all waited two years. All I'm asking now is for two weeks.

But Light, Rage, you both make good points. I really do need to make some teaser pics. But to be honest, I really didn't want to ruin the surprise. You guys tell me.

I've been working like a mad man on this in the last few days, and spent a lot of money, time, and effort on this, and ya'll won't be disappointed. :D

I have to thank my friends at the Fighting 1:18th forum for their help, they have been a total Godsend to me, over all this time. I cannot thank their website manager/owner NSA enough, for his website, and all the help his website members have helped me with this, and allowing me me to pimp the DSA site there.

Their kindness, input, and advice has meant the world to me, for my projects for you all.

October, like Halloween for me, will blow you all away.

Words alone cannot express to you just how excited I am for y'all to see my work, after all this time. I have not been lax.

This will be my gift for you all. And you all truly deserve it.

Yes Light, you're absolutely right, it has been a long time, and that's because I want this project to be my legacy to the DSA. This has become my dream project, that I'm still spending money on to this very day. When this debuts next month, I have NO doubt it will blow everyone away. You all just haven't seen the action behind the scenes over all this time. I haven't been lax on this. It's like a movie. Would you all rather wait for it to come out, or do you all want "teasers", and possibly ruin the experience of seeing it all firsthand?.

I'm just very torn right now. I want to give you all previews, but I don't want to spoil anything. I'm just afraid that if I show you what I've built and made up over all this time, that it will ruin the surprise for you all, when I post them all up. This project has indeed cost me a lot of money, and time. And when you all see it, you'll see why.

Let me ask you all this. Would you all prefer to wait until next month for it to debut, or would you all like spoiler pics ?. I can do it, but I thought that ya'll would rather be surprised. That's why I said I'm torn. It's like an awesome Christmas present. Do you want it now, or would you all rather wait until the "big day" ?.

I would rather personally wait, and blow you all away when you see them. But I'll give this choice to ya'll if ya'll really can't wait. Just let me know.

P.S. I have to give a shout out to all the guys at the "Fighting 1:18th" website. Those guys have been a total Godsend, for their kind welcome, and their awesome help, and advice for me with my projects for ya'll. They're all such amazing guys, and their work blows me away. I wouldn't have been able to do this without their help and advice.

    For Yentis:

For Yentis, my old skool gamer comrade:

I've been keeping my toy project on the down low for a reason. It's been almost a year now since beginning this project, and I want to have everything done by time of the first post anniversary in October.

I've had to build an entire Pirate set, the DSA barracks set, Ratix's mansion, and the DSA neighborhood. And collect figures for Dust, and BF3/4, and convert and modernize my G.I. Joe collection, which has sat gathering "dust" for almost 20 years now. I've had to replace worn out and dried out many rubber O rings.

The castle is built, the pirate base is done, and I have a ton of vehicles and equipment ready. And I have to thank my managers for freely donating a lot of styrofoam boards for my sets.

It's been a long time, I know, but it WILL be worth it, trust me.

    It finally freakin' warmed up !!!!! :D :D :D

Every part of RaTix's mansion except the base plate is primed & ready for painting !!! :D

I've been going in overdrive mode to get these sets done. I'm painting on them right now as I'm typing this.

This is the next building I want to get:

But damn, these things aren't cheap !.
But thankfully, the PTE elite vehicles are so damn well done I've not had to do any weathering on them besides adding some rust here and there. So it really amazes me that their buildings are done in shiny barely painted plastic.

I should have some pics up by the end of this week, but I really don't want to ruin the surprise of you all seeing them, so I might just make some generic DSA toy theater pics for everyone, until I get them completely finished.

As I said before, making the sets haven't been a problem, it's been finding all the damn accessories in the proper scale that's really been killing me.

I love the barracks, but my pride and joy has to be the castle. :D

I have to thank Daz again for all her help and support since I decided to do this project. *Hugs* Most guys wives would've been total witches about it, and certainly NOT encouraged it like she has. :D And many thanks to Yentis also.

Now if only I could find a cheap source for the PTE jets, and an Imperial AT-AT. I've always wanted on of those damn things..LOL !

I also have to thank the Fighting118th. forum again for their utterly amazing website. It really has been a treasure trove of info, websites, and ideas. And for showing me how to take shots like this:
